Our Mission
The Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival will sustain the growth and development of musical theatre, its creators, and patrons through community and the presentation of new works.
At AMTF, we understand the difficulties associated with creating a new musical, and we’re here to help. After participating in the New York Musical Festival in 2015 as a producer, Benjamin Taylor Davis saw an opportunity in the Atlanta community to nurture the local writing population - the Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival was born. 5 years later, our impact is bigger than ever before.
During the 2019 Festival, we set single show and festival wide attendance records! To this date, more than 2,000 people have experienced the Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival.
Founded in 2015, we have been dedicated to pushing the artistic integrity of the Atlanta community, and have been embraced wholeheartedly by the people we serve.
Whether on stage or behind the scenes, AMTF has connected over 350 artists including writers, directors, actors, musicians, technicians, and staff, providing them with the resources they need to develop new musicals.

We open submissions for a limited amount of time every year in the Fall/Winter with Official Selections announced in the Spring. Learn more about our submission process here.
